Activities

You will report to and work closely with Senior Management and Product Management. Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:

Support coordination across teams, dependencies, and program risks

  • Work with Scrum Masters to align the application and maturity of Agile practices across all teams. Each Scrum Master is responsible for coaching and managing their own team.

  • Work with Scrum Masters to resolve organizational issues that have been escalated and that are outside the teams control.

  • Work with Scrum Masters to improve and support dependency management and the coordination/alignment of activities across teams.

  • Ensure the identification, tracking, and mitigation of program-level impacts, interdependencies, and risks across teams, vendors, and platforms.

  • Escalate issues quickly and strategically, establishing clear decision-making paths for management.

Act as a link between Management and Finance

  • Translate progress, risk, and value-delivery metrics between technical teams and institutional partners (Finance, governance leads), ensuring information meets the needs for senior-level management and control.

  • Maintain and communicate overall flow, performance, and value-delivery metrics.

  • Oversee financial milestones and investment-management mechanisms.

Work with Product Management to align delivery with the product strategy

  • Collaborate with Product Directors, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to ensure initiative objectives, backlogs, and delivery plans align with customer value, product roadmaps, and organizational priorities.

  • Work closely with Product Management to ensure practices align with the product roadmap.

  • Work with Product Owners and Business Analysts, as required, to understand and maintain the backlog.

  • Support Product Owners who are responsible for customer relationships.

Ensure transparency through relevant, needs-based information and communications

  • Provide concise, actionable reporting on progress, health, risks, and value delivery. Tailor communications for executives, technical teams, and Product Owners.

  • Ensure stakeholders share a common understanding of the initiative and provide appropriate and timely information to governance committees and institutional groups such as Finance.

  • At all levels, maintain effective communications with customers, help secure community support for the initiative, and seek feedback to improve delivery.

Support Product Management on the vendor side

  • Align the project backlog and requirements with vendor requirements and specifications.

  • Prioritize and track deliveries and expenditures.

  • Support Product Management in vendor management, as required.

Service Requirements – Candidate Profile

You must meet the following requirements:

  • At least seven (7) years of experience in project/program delivery, including at least three (3) years in a leadership role using an Agile/Hybrid approach to lead complex cross-functional initiatives.

  • Proven ability to guide teams in shifting from a task-based (output) approach to one focused on measurable outcomes and business value.

  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, and developing teams and stakeholders in Agile practices.

  • Hands-on experience with an evolving Agile initiative working alongside traditional (non-Agile) groups and vendors.

  • Strong ability to adapt communications to different audiences while maintaining consistency, and to act as a bridge between technical teams, operational groups, and governance bodies.

  • Experience working with Finance to align project delivery with budget governance and financial reporting cycles.

  • Experience working with external vendors to align their deliverables with internal backlogs, ensuring clear translation of requirements and adherence to timelines.

  • Proven pragmatism and flexibility in adapting Agile frameworks to organizational needs and operating in environments where Agile delivery coexists with traditional institutional processes.

  • Experience delivering major transformation initiatives in a product-management environment with Agile and Hybrid components, leveraging technology to deliver customer value (e.g., large-scale, multi-year, multi-million-dollar enterprise projects).

  • Proven ability to foster a culture of psychological safety that encourages experimentation, curiosity, and continuous learning within teams.

  • Strong proficiency in using data (e.g., Jira, Power BI, etc.) to report on organizational value delivery and performance metrics.

  • Experience in resource and/or team management – an asset.

  • Experience with best practices and methodologies in traditional/waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management.

  • Bilingualism (English and French).

  • Strong leadership skills: ability to positively influence others to achieve results in the best interest of the organization.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder-engagement skills: ability to speak, listen, and write clearly, thoroughly, and in a timely manner using appropriate and effective communication techniques and tools suited to the audience, context, and desired outcomes.

  • Ability to understand stakeholder needs, manage apparently conflicting requirements, and manage expectations.

  • High energy, collaborative mindset, strong team spirit, and a results-driven approach.

  • Negotiation skills (internal and external relationships) – a significant asset.

  • Experience with Jira, Power BI, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools – an asset.

  • Experience with Google Workspace – an asset.

  • Experience with Confluence – an asset.
